We are Bristol's only climbing shop and proud to be family owned and operated since 1981. Whether you are going sport climbing up at Hidden Valley or heading to Grayson Highlands for a weekend of bouldering, we have the knowledge and gear you may need for your next climb. Our staff loves to climb so don't hesitate to stop in and ask us what problem we have been working on lately or some info on an area you have never been to before.
Join the Central Appalachia Climbers Coalition on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Norton Expo Center (815 Park Ave. SW, Norton, VA 24273) for a fun morning of bouldering in one of Southwest Virginia's best boulder fields: The Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is located in Flag Rock Recreation Area and has boulder problems that were established over 25 years ago. Parking at the Labyrinth itself is limited so participants will carpool to the site. Climbing shoes, bouldering pads, and chalk will all be provided so if you have any interest in climbing, this would be a great opportunity to get your feet wet. Participants are encouraged to wear durable but activewear clothes, bring their own snacks and water, as well as a psyched attitude to be outside enjoying the outdoor rec that SWVA has to offer!
